Shiraz grown in the Barossa Valley of South Australia has a long and celebrated history where it has thrived since the 1850's the soil and climate of the Barossa are ideal for producing fruit driven full bodied full flavoured shiraz wines  internationaly recognised for their ability to age for many years.
The 2005 shiraz has been heralded as one of the greatest shiraz growing vintages in the Barossa Valley vying with 2002  and the famous 1998 vintage.A long cool ripening period ensured a wine that is proudly confident, stylish, cocentrated and deep in colour.Matured in French oak and for a period of 16 months the wine exhibits hints of spice and dark chocolate with an alluring mioddle palate  of rich fruit cake characters. The fruit opulence is supported by the soft fine grade tannins, and highlighted by the  intergrated oak usage. The 2005 shiraz is a beautifully balanced wine which can be cellared with confidence for 10 or more years
